Celebrating the Miracle of Life with Bird Migration & the International Year of Water
As a part of its yearly celebration for the Miracle of Bird Migration, and through the generous support of the MAVA Foundation, SPNL and the municipality of Anjar and Kfar Zabad, in collaboration with Dar Onboz, Al Shouf Cedar Reserve, and Souk Al Tayeb celebrate the Miracle of Bird Migration in the Bekaa and the Shouf, the annual World Water day, and the launching of the MAVA funded project ”Restoring Hima Ecosystem functions through promoting sustainable community -based water management systems”in Hima Anjar- Kfar Zabad IBA”. This ceremony shall also witness the launching of the project “Promoting Hima Women Empowerment for Conservation and Livelihood” funded by UN Women Fund for Gender Equality, which aims to enhance the livelihood of rural women through the revival of the Hima approach in the sustainable management of the IBAs of Lebanon. The following event coincides with the International Year of Water. Thus, rejoicing the value of water cooperation and management for the sustainability of ecosystems and livelihoods.

SPNL Launches New Project on Water Management Systems
As a part of SPNL’s projects in Hima Anjar Kfar Zabad, IBA, SPNL has recently launched the project entitled “Restoring Hima Ecosystem functions through promoting sustainable community based water management systems”, the project extends for three years duration, supported by the MAVA Foundation. It aims to restore Hima Ecosystem functions through promoting sustainable community based water management systems
