OSME’s 42nd Annual General Meeting
We held our first ever Zoom AGM on Saturday November the 28th and it was great to see so many members joining us from around the world. One of the few silver linings to the coronavirus pandemic has been the need to try new ways of conducting ‘normal’ business. Usually we would hold our AGM and Summer Meeting together in June or July and people from various parts of the UK would meet for a day of talks. This year we held our Summer Meeting online and it was a great success with people from many parts of the OSME region participating for the first time.
Our AGM on Saturday attracted many first time participants from across the OSME region, including members based in Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. The meeting was also live-streamed on the OSME YouTube channel.
The minutes from the 41st AGM were agreed and are now available as a final version on our website.
The draft minutes from the 42nd AGM are now available too.
Short presentations by our Chairman Rob Sheldon and co-Treasurer Chris Hughes were followed by the meeting formalities:
- The Trustee Report and Accounts for 2019 were unanimously approved and are available on our website. The report and accounts have also been submitted to our charity regulator, The Charity Commission for England and Wales and now are posted on their website and are fully in the public domain.
- Mike Jennings our accounts examiner was thanked and unanimously approved for another year.
- Murray Brown was unanimously voted on to OSME Council.
If you were unable to attend, the full AGM can be viewed on the OSME YouTube channel:
